Many of us will have grown beans as kids and as such will be familiar with the process. For those of you that are not familiar with it, a seed is first securely wrapped in cotton wool followed by regular watering. Regular checking on the bean occurs during this incubation period, every millimetre of growth is celebrated, and the plant is moved from place to place to ensure perfect conditions. Finally, the day dawns when the fragile little plant will need to be planted outside and in time the nurturing hands of the gardener will push a firm stake into the ground to ensure it has the support needed to increase in size.
