Newsletter – N40 02 December 22 JNR & SNR

Junior Newsletter

Dear Parents, it is the final stretch of the term. Assessments are done and the learners are looking
forward to a well-deserved break. The Primary School would like to thank you for your ongoing support
in 2022. It is always appreciated.

Grade R News

The Grade Rs have been very busy, from doing assessments to practicing hard for Athletics Day and
their very special upcoming Graduation on the 6th of December. How precious is time? It flew by so fast.
We don’t realize it but we sometimes do take time for granted. I remember starting the year off with the
Grade Rs and being taller than all of them and now it is the other way around. I must say, I am so very
proud of each and every one of them. To see how they have grown not only in size but as individuals is
such a beautiful sight to see. I cannot wait to celebrate their special day with them.

Message from the Principal Carlien Ellis:

The academic year of 2022 has come to an end! We have finally crossed the finish line and with full
and grateful hearts.

Firstly, thank you to the staff for their hard work and dedication to making 2022 a memorable year.
Your commitment, hard work and perseverance throughout all circumstances are much
appreciated. I am grateful and blessed to tackle 2023 with such a strong team of passionate
educators by my side. You all deserve a wonderful holiday with your family.
To our parents, a huge thank you for your commitment to our school. Thank you for honouring your
payments and expressing unrelenting loyalty towards Riverside and your children.

To all learners of Riverside College, I am very proud of you all. Thank you for always giving your
best and making the most of the 2022 academic year. You are privileged to grow and learn in such
a lovely,
caring and healthy environment but your gratitude shines through in your perseverance. The
friendships you have built and the memories you have made this year will last a lifetime. You are all
so loved, you are unique, and we appreciate each and every one of you.

Thank you to every member of the Riverside family. We had an extraordinary year filled with many
stories of our triumphs and our challenges. When days were tough, we continued to push through,
we succeeded and we became stronger as a team and as individuals. We are privileged to be part
of such a great community where support is offered, and we can be present in the moment because
every moment matters!

My wish for you is a blessed festive season. Be safe, be present and enjoy this much-needed time
with family and friends. For those who may find this time of year difficult, fill your days with things or
people that make you smile and take it one day at a time!
2023 is going to be a bumper of a year. We got so much planned already. We will start the new year
rested and ready to make this another magnificent, successful school year.
